Jose Rodriguez

Founder & President

Jose started Aktopa in 2000 when he saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between customers’ unmet chemical needs and the innovative solutions that could help them. From the outset, Jose was convinced that listening to customers was the greatest business strategy he could employ – doing so gave him the exact information he needed to provide the greatest value to Aktopa’s earliest clients. Twenty years have passed since then, and Jose is still using that same approach. Throughout his career as a chemical engineer and entrepreneur, Jose’s creativity and love of learning have driven his leadership and innovation. As President, Jose has led Aktopa to become a critical component in the supply chain of a growing number of clients. Today, Jose is resolved to continue Aktopa’s mission by recruiting and leading a talented team of professionals who contribute their talents and work ethic to sustain Aktopa’s track record of excellence.

Jose holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO) and a Master of Business Administration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) – both located in Mexico City, Mexico.
